Shaker Cabinets

Shaker style cabinetry design provides some flexibility that other cabinet styles have trouble following. Shaker cabinetry can appear more contemporary as seen in many of today’s kitchen installations, or it can be more on the rustic side. While often used in white finishes, using rich stained wood finishes allows a little bit more craftsman style to come through and is a great accent piece when used as an island or even a buffet. Shaker cabinetry can really show off the character of the wood species selected, from rich and smooth cherry to bold hickory graining.
